Popcorn the perfect snack

Popcorn is the most beloved snacks of all time.  This healthy snack has more anti-oxidants when compared to fruits and vegetables.   The annoying little husk that gets stuck between our teeth is high in nutrition.  They contain high concentration of antioxidants and fibre.
Did you know why the popcorn pops?  It pops because of the small amount of moisture present within the kernels. This moisture turns to steam creating pressure within itself.  As the pressure builds the kernel explodes.

The healthiest way to make popcorn is on stovetop or with a popcorn maker.

Before making the popcorn, soak the kennels for half an hour in water.   This way you get rid of the anti-nutrients and the extra moisture helps the popcorn pop up quicker and fluffier.

A healthier option is to add extra virgin oil and a little sea salt after it pops.
