Chittorgarh Fort

This magnificent fort is located at a distance of 112 km from Udaipur, Rajasthan India. The fort spreads over 700 acres standing on a high (180km) hill near Gambheri River in Chittorgarh.

Chittorgarh Fort is claimed to be the largest fort ever built by the Rajputs. It is believed the fort was built by the Mauryans in the 7th century.

 

Chittorgarh is also famous for its legendary tale of Queen Padmini’s act of Jauhar and Mira Bhai the famous Hindu spiritual poetess and most passionate devote of Lord Krishna whose compositions are still famous in Northern India.
