Ingredients
1 Cup Soaked whole green gram
1 big bunch Dill Leaves
1 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
A pinch of Hing/Asafoetida
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1-2 Green Chillies, slit
Few sprigs of curry leaves
2 tsp Chilli Powder
A small piece of jaggery
3 tbsp Grated Fresh Coconut
Salt to taste
Method:
Cook green gram with salt until soft. Drain out excess water. Clean the dill leaves and chop finely. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, when they splutter, add turmeric powder and hing. Add curry leaves, green chillies and dill leaves and stir for a minute.
Add cooked green gram and mix well. Add salt, jaggery, chilli powder and ¼ cup water and mix well. Cover and Cook for a minute or two. Add coconut and mix well.
Serve hot with roti or rice.
