Instant Kalakand

Kalakand is a popular and most traditional dessert in India. This traditional sweet is delicious, moist and grainy.







2 cup Milk powder
1 cup sugar
1/3 thick cream
½-1tsp cardamom powder
Garnish – Almonds & Pistachio (chopped)

In a microwavable glass bowl mix milk powder, sugar and cardamom powder.  Slowly add cream and combine thoroughly.  The mix should be of a thick smooth consistency.   Microwave on high for 4 minutes.  Remove and stir.  Microwave again for a further 3 minutes.  Remove from microwave.  Pour into a greased plate.  Let it set for few minutes and sprinkle chopped nuts.  Refrigerate to set and cut to desired shape.  Serve warm or cold.
